The Northern Territory Government has established a Non-Government Organisation (NGO) Advisory Council to investigate and identify opportunities to reduce red tape affecting the development of the NGO sector.
The council has engaged the consultancy services of Deloitte to assist in its investigation into red tape issues. Deloitte has developed a survey to obtain your input and feedback in relation to public sector regulation and the rules and regulation that businesses place on themselves.
The survey is now closed. Deloitte will analyse the data and data will be included in the final report.
The Territory Government is targeting specific sectors and working with stakeholders and government agencies to improve the regulatory and compliance framework. Current reviews are underway for the tourism sector and the non-government organisation sector.
